Did you know...

Green pepper is the spicy, aromatic fruit of Piper nigrum, a shrub native to the southern coasts of India and the Malay archipelago. Unlike the more common black pepper, which is picked from the same plant and dried in the sun, green pepper is picked fresh, when it is not yet fully ripe.
